ReservHotel is pleased to provide our Booking Engine clients with the ability to capture payment at the time of booking by way of our payment processing services.

We currently work with the following gateways:

Why Should You Use A Processor?

Benefits of enabling payment processing: 

  • Automatically process credit card & debit card payments to match your unique payment policies. 
  • Deposits/guarantees - allow your hotel to secure your inventory and be able to charge customers for no shows and cancellations. 
  • Collect upfront for pre-payment or non-refundable rates. 
  • Create payment plans to allow your guest to pay overtime. 
  • Connect to Uplift so guests can finance their vacation, with ZERO risk to the hotel.

How Does Credit Card Processing Work?

  • A guest enters their credit card information during the booking process.
  • The credit card information is passed from ReservHotel to the payment gateway.
  • The payment gateway sends the information to a payment processor through a secure internet connection.
  • The payment processor, via their connection with the guest's bank, confirms or denies sufficient funds to complete the requested transaction and moves the funds from the guest's bank to the hotel's bank. 
  • This authorization process happens within seconds and the actual movement of the funds into the hotel's bank is completed within 3-4 business days. 


Getting Started

Before getting started, ReservHotel will need some additional information.

Speak with your bank manager to get answers for the following questions:

  • Who is your merchant bank?
  • Is your merchant account with your bank setup to support "card not present" transactions?
  • What payment processor does your bank use to handle credit card transactions?

Once this is determined, we will be able to confirm if they are supported by our gateway partners and begin the connection process.


Frequently Asked Questions:

  • Do I need to call my bank to get a merchant processor?

NO, Merchant processors are contracted 3rd parties, however, some banks DO have partnerships with merchant processors.


  • Do I need to get rid of the merchant processor that I use at my hotel?

NO, you can have multiple payment processors. 


  • Can I have multiple merchant processors?

YES, you can. Many hotels have multiple merchant processors to mitigate the risk they will freeze the account. You have a back up merchant processor in case this happens. 


  • Can I set up the account to charge in multiple currencies? 

From the ReservHotel side, yes however this depends on the merchant processor and gateway. Please contact the merchant processor for more information.


  • Which Credit Cards can be processed?

From the ReservHotel side - AMEX, Mastercard, Visa, and Discover, however ask your merchant processor if they work with all 4.
