How to Upload Public GDS Rates

Instructions to Upload Public GDS Rates 


 Step 1: On the Extranet, go on the 'Rates' tab and select on Add Rate


Step 2: Fill out the necessary areas for Step 1: 

  • Under "Select Rate Type:" select GDS PUBLIC RATES 
  • Under "Select Rate:" select the rate the hotel needs. Keep in mind that 01- Rack or Standard rate is the main Rate Plan that GDS lists on a request.
  • Under "Rate Name:" type in a rate name at the hotels convenience. 
  • Under "Full Description:" type in a complete information in regards of what is or not included in the rate. 


Step 3: Fill out the necessary areas for Step 2:

  • Under "First Rate Period:" update the valid period.
  • Under "Enter Separate Weekend Rates:" If the hotel has a weekend rate, select the periods. 
  • Under "Stay Type:" select if it would be by Arrival or by Touch.
  • Under "Min Stay (Arrival):" input the minimum number of nights requested. 
  • Under "Max Stay (Arrival):" input the maximum nights the clients can stay in the hotel.


Step 4: Fill out the necessary areas for Step 3:

  • Complete below information only if the policy is different as the CANCELATION POLICY
  • Under "Cancel Policy:" select the number of nights prior to arrival the client can cancel without penalty charges.
  • Under "Cancel Remark:" in words, indicate what is the cancellation policy.
  • Under "Penalty:" in numbers type in how many nights in advance the client is able to cancel. Then, from the drop window select if the penalty is in amount, percentage or nights.  


Step 5: Fill out the necessary areas for Step 4:

  • Under "All Inclusive Rate:" from the dropdown select if the rate is or is not All Inclusive.
  • Under "Non Refundable:" select if the rate is or is not Refundable. 
  • Under "Display Rate on:" If the rate is will be viewable in the Booking Engine then select which sour will apply. 
  • Under "Use as a Base Rate:" Select Yes if it will be the Base Rate- it means you will be able to calculate all derivate rates if needed. 
  • Under "Rate Category:" Select the type of rate. 
  • Under "Net Rate:" Select Yes if the rate is the NET, if not select NO.
  • Under "Commission:" Input the percentage of the commission.
  • Click on FINISH
